Ronnie Robinson

Born 22nd October 1966 in Sunderland

Signed by Chris Turner on a ‘free’ from Rotherham in December 1991, Ronnie soon became the automatic choice for the left back position.

He made his Posh debut as a substitute on 14th December 1991 in a 3-0 defeat at Stockport and made his first full appearance at London Road against Bury which Posh drew 0-0. A tough tackler Ronnie played 27 times for the Posh in the 1991/92 promotion winning season as well as the 3 play-off games.

The following season Ronnie lost his place to Tony Spearing and was transferred to Exeter City for £25,000 in August 1993.

After a further 3 seasons in the Football League with Exeter and Scarborough Ronnie finished his playing career in 1995.

In total Ronnie played 47 times in the Football League for the Posh (3 as a substitute).

Did you know: During his career Ronnie played for nine league clubs, Ipswich Town, Leeds Utd, Doncaster Rovers, WBA, Rotherham, the Posh, Exeter City, Huddersfield Town and Scarborough.
