“Smile” treat for Grace

Six year old Grace Loakes-Smith and her mum Fiona, were recently treated to free tickets for the Bristol Rovers match via our “Smile Scheme”.

Grace suffers from a medical condition which means she is hospitalised for long periods, but she loves to watch the Posh when she can and it was the Trust’s pleasure to treat her to a free match, where she got to go on the pitch and meet her favourite player, Marcus Maddison.

Local community groups and disadvantaged fans can apply for Posh Smile Tickets so they can enjoy watching a game of football free of charge, which perhaps they would otherwise be unable to enjoy.

Fans can also nominate individuals or groups for a special Posh Smile Ticket Treat as a means of acknowledging hard work, selfless acts and a commitment to their local community – this could be anything from cleaning up litter to helping an elderly person, or indeed a treat for someone who is seriously ill and their Carer.

If you would like to nominate someone for a Smile Ticket, contact our Smile Ticket scheme co-ordinator Sue Butler at butlersusan79@gmail.com.
