Former Posh goalkeeper Nigel Sims dies aged 86

Following the sad news of former Posh midfielder John McGlashan’s death yesterday, the Posh Supporters Trust were further sadden to hear that another former Posh player, Nigel Sims, died on Sunday 7th January aged 86.

Nigel, a goalkeeper, played for Wolves and Aston Villa (where he won the FA and Football League Cup) before signing for the Posh in the 1964/65 season. Nigel made 16 Football League appearances for the Posh.

Our thoughts and condolences go to Nigel’s family at this very sad time.
