The Posh Supporters Trust Smile Tickets

Smile Tickets for Peterborough United are being promoted by the Posh Supporters' Trust.

The aim of Posh Smile Tickets is to raise money to purchase match day tickets at London Road which will be given to local community groups and nominated individuals.

The scheme will help increase income and gates for the club and at the same time give access to London Road to people who otherwise would not be able to experience the magic atmosphere.

The Trust will raise Posh Smile Ticket funds through a number of sponsored events. In addition the Trust is providing the initial seed funding of £500.

About Smile Tickets

Smile Tickets is a simple method for fans to raise money for their football club and at the same time give something back to the community that supports the club.

All the money donated by fans to the Smile Tickets Fund will be spent at the club purchasing Match Day Tickets. This gives the club a direct benefit from the additional revenue of ticket sales.

Local community groups and disadvantaged fans can apply for these Match Day Tickets, or Posh Smile Tickets, so they can enjoy watching a game of football that perhaps they would otherwise be unable to enjoy.

Fans can also nominate individuals or groups for a special "Smile Tickets Treat" as a means of acknowledging hard work, selfless acts and devotion to the community at large.

The number of tickets available for each match is limited only by the money in the Posh Smile Tickets fund, and we call upon all supporters of the club, including local businesses to make donations to this very worthy cause which ultimately helps the club through increased ticket sales.

News & Events

The Posh Supporters' Trust Chairman, Peter Lloyd enthused "Posh Smile Tickets just make so much sense. Every pound donated is spent at the club, and in doing so some very deserving people in the local community get to enjoy a football match for free. The Smile Tickets ethos of being fan inclusive irrespective of social background or age really seemed perfect to me and everyone wins. The club, by selling more tickets, will have more fans in the ground and the scheme enhances the club's, and the Trust's, links with the local community."

"The cost of football excludes some members of our community from attending matches, but that does not make them any less Posh fans. This initiative gives the fans an incentive to fundraise, and we're also keen to hear from other individuals or companies who would like to support this scheme. So if you are planning some fundraising, please think about making this scheme a beneficiary. We will be organising some fundraising events as well. It's all about us supporting each other within the PUFC community. Many of the fans who benefit from Posh Smile Tickets will be young people who will be attending their first ever match and these are the very same people who are the potential diehard fans of the future, and will be the lifeblood of the club in the years ahead."

The Posh Supporters' Trust will donate any money earned from its Co-Op dividend number 473432 to the Smile Tickets fund. So anyone can help the fundraising by quoting this number when shopping at any Co-Op store. In addition the Trust is providing the initial seed funding of £500.
