The following is a statement from Leigh Porter.
"It is with regret that I have to announce that I will not be standing for re-election to the Posh Supporters' Trust board. "I have recently taken up a new position as community fundraiser with Sue Ryder Care at Thorpe Hall Hospice. The commitment and focus that is needed for this new role means that I will not be able to give the requisite time and effort to my duties as a board member. "I remain a member of the Trust and hope in the future to once more be fully involved as the Trust continues to pursue its aims and objectives." Trust chairman Peter Lloyd added his thanks for the role Leigh has played in the establishment of the Trust. "Leigh was the driving force behind the establishment of the Trust and his many hours of work have been vital in putting the Trust in the strong position it finds itself in today. "We look forward to him returning to work with us in the future, as we continue to build towards our goals of promoting football within the community, working with the club to build a stronger influence for fans and, ultimately, to seeing the ownership of Peterborough United Football Club in the hands of the community through The Posh Supporters' Trust.
