Mick Halsall

Born 21 July 1961 in Bootle, Mick a midfielder  played for Birmingham City, Carlisle United, Grimsby Town and Peterborough United where he led the Posh  to promotion via the play offs from the Fourth Division to the 1st Division in the 1990–91 season!

In his last season as a Posh player Mick got involved in coaching the side and in January 1994 he was appointed assistant manager to Chris Turner following the departure of Lil Fuccillo. He then worked under John Still before being appointed manager in October 1995 after Still’s departure. Mick reverted to coaching when Barry Fry took over the club in June 1996, only to be sacked as an economy measure a few months later!
