Frank Noble

Born 26 October 1945 in Sheffield.

A full back, Frank made his debut for the Posh on the 23rd August 1967 in the League Cup clash against local rivals Northampton Town (although he was an unused substitute for the previous game against Scunthorpe Utd). A consistent performer during his five seasons at the Posh he played as both a left and right full back.

Was Posh’s captain for the 1970/71 and retired from football during the 1971-72 season through injury. When he retired, only two players had made more Football League appearances for the Posh than Frank (Brian Wright and Ollie Conmy).

Did you know: Frank started his career with Sheffield Wednesday, where he made 2 First Division league appearances.
