Born 27th March 1963 in Bethnal Green, London.
Tony’s career started at Colchester Utd where he established himself in the first-team squad following the death of John Lyons and the departure of Kevin Bremner (who also later played for the Posh) . Manchester City signed him for £75,000 in June 1987, but he only made 15 appearances (12 starting and 3 as a substitute) scoring five goals, including a hat-trick in a 10-1 win against Huddersfield Town.
Signed initially on loan in December 1991 Tony became an integral part of the 1991/92 side that won promotion to the 2nd tier of the Football League playing in the 3rd Division play off final at Wembley against Stockport County in May 1992.
In total Tony made 111 Football League appearances for the Posh (107 starting and 4 as a substitute) scoring 35 goals.
