This section of the website relates to Posh home programmes from our first season in the Football League to the 1969-70 season. It shows the front page of a programme from each season as well as providing a brief overview of the contents of the programme.

The 1960-61 season

Our normal 1960/61 season programme cost 4d (between 1½p and 2p) but the one shown here is our first programme in the Football League which was a ‘souvenir’ programme and cost 6d (2½p). This actual programme now sells at around £20.00.

Throughout the season the front of the programme showed the same picture (an aerial picture of our London Road ground).

The 1961-62 season

This season the look of the programme changed though the picture on the front was still an aerial photo of the ground. The programme contained 8 pages with sections such as Club chatter, Supporters club notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme was 4d (between 1½p and 2p).

The 1962-63 season

This season’s programme was the same as last season’s: 8 pages with sections such as Club chatter, Supporters club notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme was 4d (between 1½p and 2p).

The 1963-64 season

This season’s programme was again the same as last season and the season before.

The 8 pages contained Club chatter, Supporters club notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme remained at 4d (between 1½p and 2p).

The 1964-65 season

This season the look, format and contents was again the same as the previous season. The programme contained 8 pages with sections such as Club chatter, Supporters club notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme went up this season to 6d (2½p).

The 1965-66 season

Once again the programme look of the programme was the same as the previous season. Although the programme still contained 8 pages the Club chatter section was renamed Club Tit Bits, the Supporters club notes remained as did the Fixtures and league tables however this season ‘our Visitors Today was included which gave a brief overview of the the oppostion players. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme remained at 6d (2½p).

The 1966-67 season

This season the front cover changed but the format and contents were pretty much the same as the previous season. The programme contained 8 pages with sections such as Club News & Notes, Our Visitors, Guest Spot (info on a Posh player), as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme was 6d (2½p).

The 1967-68 season

Apart from now containing a picture of Mr. Posh on the front page the look of the programme was the same as last season. The programme contained 8 pages with sections such as Club News & Notes, Pen Pictures of our Visitors, Supporters Club notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme went up 3d to 9d (between 3½p and 4p).

The 1968-69 season

Another new front cover but the format and contents were pretty much the same as previous seasons. The programme contained 8 pages with sections such as Club News & Notes, Pen Pictures of our opponents, Supporters Club Notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme was 9d (between 3½p and 4p).

 

The 1969-70 season

The look, format and contents were the same as the previous season. The programme contained 8 pages with sections such as Club News & Notes, Pen Pictures of our opponents, Supporters Club Notes, as well a Fixtures and league tables. The teams were detailed in the centre pages. The front picture was once again constant throughout the season.

The cost of the programme was 9d (between 3½p and 4p).
